About Metamorphosis Counseling, LLC
I am passionate about working with those who have had adverse experiences, impeding them from living the life they desire. I offer high quality services, flexible hours, and have expertise in resolving behavioral, emotional, and thinking challenges resulting from trauma, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, and grief. I also have years of experience working with neurodiverse individuals, and LBGTQI+ folks. I consider myself an inclusive and accepting therapist.

I graduated with a BS in Psychology, and worked part time at a local women's crisis center where I discovered my passion. I then attended graduate school at George Fox University, with a focus on trauma and PTSD. It was there that I learned how to integrate a person's spirituality/religion in therapy, regardless of their beliefs.
I began my professional journey as a therapist in 2010. I am licensed with the Oregon Board of Professional Therapist and Counselors, and am a National Certified Counselor. I gained a certification in Humanistic Sandtray therapy in 2013 from an amazing trainer/therapist/professor in Texas, Stephen Armstrong. I have worked in community mental health, in private practice, and as a college counselor.
Interventions I use in therapy include but are not limited to Emotion Focused therapy, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing therapy, Sandtray therapy, and Expressive Arts. I continue to attend trainings yearly to increase my knowledge and skills.

Personally speaking, I am a mother of four terrific grown children and have ten amazing grandchildren. I enjoy organic gardening, woodworking, creating art, and basking in the beauty in nature (especially waterfalls).

Services
Are you looking for supervision for licensure or to enhance your skills? I offer the opportunity for professional therapists to gain skills, learn new techniques, find professional support, and/or to gain supervision specific to trauma and Sandtray therapy. Supervision is available both in person and online (I can supervise any LPC associate in Oregon remotely). I am passionate about providing guidance and education to those newly graduated as you start your professional career.
My supervision style is related to my counseling theory-base, connection and relationship. I see us all navigating the world based on how securely we are attached to others. I value inclusion and acceptance, as we are all different in many ways, yet with a little effort, we can always find common ground!
